First look at the research document I have created that looks at Idea surround the rebrand of a Oriental Restaurant situated in the heart of London. This document will be printed and presented at review.
As an introduction to the Adobe Illustrator CC, this process and production session focused upon basic pen tool skills in relation to drawing/rendering and the manipulation of typographic letter forms. We started off the session by learning information about Morpholo tiles and the design and context that surround them. We then learnt how to generate a random pattern making system - the idea is that we create 6 tiles that would work as a game that can be placed together and fit to make one similar to that of a jigsaw and a game of dominos. Then, researching into a specific type using font book and online resources, we were encouraged to work as abstract as possible when using elements from a specific type. I chose to look at an Arabic Style of font as at the minute I am very fascinated with the aesthetic and look of an Arabian Style. I love the smooth lines and form and the way in which they link and bond in style...
In todays Process and Production workshop I put all my skills so far together to create a ten second motion graphics book advertisement on After Effects. The book I chose to advertise was Amy:My Daughter, Written by Mitch Winehouse about the short life of Amy Winehouse. The first time I used After Effects I found it difficult and tricky so this time I was determined to try out lots of different methods and techniques. I started by picking a theme; I wanted a dark and gloomy atmosphere to hang around in the video with similar imagery to represent the dulcet tone within Amy's life. I wanted this grey theme to run throughout the video. I started off by creating Amy Winehouse inspired illustrations on Illustrator. I love the way in which these images really capture the spirit of Amy, I wanted to use iconic imagery from all the way through her life which would then act like a timeline for the narr...
The results of my shape test The Bauhaus movement was renowned for creating simplistic, utopian and modern aesthetics and as I have previously learned the square, circle and triangle are a pioneering feature that include themselves in and throughout the Bauhaus Archive. This was due to its constant combination of modern and futuristic elements of art and design that follow the form follows function message as well as colour theory and utility importance. This test, that I did with my family and friends, allows us to see the psychological way in which we position colour to shape; the task was to assign the 3 primary colours, red, yellow and blue to the 3 most influential shapes within the Bauhaus movement, a square, circle or triangle. The results are as shown. "I chose Red Triangle, Blue Circle and Yellow Square. The Red colour reminds me of danger and danger road si...
